Everyone knows that Radioactive Man is Bart Simpson’s favourite comic book character. Few people know that Bongo Comics (the publishers of the Simpson’s comic book) printed some actual Radioactive Man comics back in the 1990s. These books are enjoyable parodies/satire of well known superhero comic book stories and clichés. Sometimes these days superhero comics take themselves too seriously and forget that comic books should be about fun and not about beloved characters being raped and murdered.
This particular story parodies Denny O’Neill and Neal Adams’ Green Lantern/Green Arrow series of the 1970s and is very enjoyable.
