With the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street approaching in November, I thought that it would be good to look at where it all began, back in 1969.
One week before Sesame Street first aired back in 1969 they showed this cute preview of what the show would be like.
Some things are really weird. It’s weird seeing Gordan with hair, because he has been bald ever since I first watched Sesame Street around 1977. Also Big Bird is a little off in this early stuff.
It would be great if this was included as an extra on the Sesame Street Old School DVDs but I’m not sure that it is. Anyway, the Sesame Street Old School stuff is available from my Amazon store.
