Bolters At It Again

It’s fun to take comments from Andrew Bolt’s blog out of context just for the purpose of making fun of the,m. It’s such an easy thing to do though…

australians returning to a white australia policy should not be construed by neighbours as doing so for any reach of racism – the imperative is entirely economic.

Australian can build bigger prisons, slide into a third world corruption, watch enclaves and ghettos grow in size or the nation could adopt a new immigration policy.

Australia started with a tax rate about 5%. It is now about 30% with falling standards of living.

Immigration and economics are inseparable.

It is your life social engineers are toying with. Failed or imminently failing first world states are genuine indicators of social dysfunctionality.

of course this might be wrong; how would you know?

So we should go back to a White Australia Policy? Huh! Does that mean that we send anyone who is not white back to where they came from, even if they were born here? I’m confused.

And what aid are the oil rich, compassionate,Koran quoting Islamic nations like Saudi Arabia,Libya,The UAE and even Iran giving their Muslim cousins in Pakistan, especially at this time of Ramadan?

If true to usual form, bugger all or none ,let the infidels in the West deal with it they would be saying, and also let those suckers take the refugees that will invariably result from this catastrophe.

Sorry, but after the disastrous UK experience with Pakistani Muslims, Australia must say, NO WAY.

Yep Frank, we should just let them suffer. Serves them right for cheating at cricket. BTW I would suggest that all or most of those countries you mentioned are helping out at the moment but you just don’t hear about it. You see, Australia likes to hype up our aid contributions to such a point that we think that no one else is such a good Samaritan as we are. Did you know that Indonesia sent aid to Victoria after the Black Saturday bushfires/ Bet you didn’t?!

It wouldn’t be a Bolt blog comment without some attack on the Labor Party or our former PM, even if they have nothing to do with the issue at hand. Well played!

Best point of the day.

I did donate to the tsunami fund in Aceh only to find out that the muslim police there had bought 20 000 (some reports say 40 000) skirts to hand out to women they considered improperly dressed.

This was Christmas, a tough time for families and we all went without to ‘help’ these poor people. NEVER again will I give to a Muslim country.

They have a Muslim Police Force? I guess so. Perhaps they considered the women improperly dressed because all their clothing was washed away by the flood? Food and clothing would have been the two things that the people of Aceh needed the most. Being given a skirt is better than being given no clothing at all.

What the hell is the matter with our Government. I, for one still believe that charity begins at home, and resent all the taxpayers hard earned doallrs being sent overseas in any Aid program. Sorry they ruined your Christmas.
Molly Daveson of Cungulla. 4816 (Reply)

So if you saw a stranger dying on the road you would walk past them because charity begins at home and you didn’t know that person. Shows what sort of person you are Molly.

Some more hilarity from the comments on Andrew Bolt’s blog…

Australians insult God at their peril. How scary! To have our country led and influenced by an atheist leader, with Greens supporters. The Melbourne Green MP states that same sex marriage is one of their “values” – I call that grievous sin. We will be thrown headlong into a Godless society – a catastrophe from which we will not easily recover.

In the whole Climate Change debacle, nobody has given God credit for having anything at all to do with it. Yes, humans are wasteful and careless and neglectful in many, many ways but they cannot move mountains – God can!

Who do these Independents think they are? They are arrogant, self-seeking and completely carried away with themselves. The millions of voters who voted Labor and Coalition didn’t give them the right to direct their futures. The ONE and ONLY member of the Green Party who got a seat in the House of Representatives is carrying on as if he has won the election single-handed. He should wake up to himself and get his situation in perspective. All I have heard from social commmentators, journalists and so-called expert political analysts is a whole lot of hogwash.

If they had been listening to anything other than their own voices they would have heard Tony Abbott say on more than one occasion during the weeks of campaigning that if the Coalition were voted in, he would do something about changing the conduct of Question Time etc etc. Wasn’t anyone listening? Also Mr Abbott is still waiting for the outcome of the Federal Police investigation into the leaks concerning the first policies they put forward to be costed and that investigation has not yet been completed.

Please let us vote again and get it right this time and give this three-ring circus a miss.

God bless Australia.

It seems that the Libs chances are slipping away as the Bolts are calling for the election to be reheld.

This country is heading to the abyss for the following reasons:

1. Gillard have done a closed door deal with the three big miners. Shareholders do not know the details. The directors should be charged, trading should be halted for these three companies on the ASX, and Gillard arrested for insider trading if she has bought or sold shares in any of those companies since the secret agreement.

2. The three/four independents are conducting a virtual coup at worst or just playing games with the country as best. They should listen first and foremost to their constituents, who clearly want them to side with LNP, not Labor. If they side with Labor they will destroy what’s left of democracy in this country.

3. The mainstream media, especially the ABC have been conducting a propaganda campaign against Abbott, and let Rudd and now letting Gillard get away with spin, spin, spin. The media have lost all credibility and so have no relevance to providing factual information to the public.
Peter of Sydney (Reply)

If the independents constituents wanted them to side with the LNP then surely they would have voted for the LNP? Also does the mainstream media include the Murdoch press? I don’t think that the Herald Sun, The Australian, The Courier Mail or the Daily Telegraph have been running with an anti-Abbott agenda, but I do agree that they have lost all credibility and so have no relevance to providing factual information to the public.

The lucky country is now officially the stuffed country. Idiot rural voters saddled Victoria with ten plus years of incompetent Labor government by voting for independents and now they’ve done the same federally.

The rural sector is selfish and incredibly stupid. Take it from me because I’ve lived in the country all my life and seen it at first hand.

Actually an even more incompetent Liberal opposition has saddled Victoria with an incompetent Labor government.

Labor most likely you say.

Are you suffering from a bout of depression or are you just trying to depress the rest of us.

I’m already depressed enough after dealing with Telstra for a week. All I wanted was my ADSL transferred to my new address. They assured me it could be done but after a week of waiting it became clear it couldn’t be done. Too far from the exchange.

We used to have a home bundle package that gave us 100 gig of downloads on ADSL 2 for around $120 per month and included all our local and std calls and calls to Telstra mobiles.

Sadly we’ve lost that because there’s no such bundles with wireless internet which we’re now forced to use. In addition our internet cost has risen to $109 per month with a 10 gig download. Twice the price, slower speed and 90 per cent less gigs.

I may write to the ACCC. Seems ridiculous. In the meantime no more talk of Labor victories please. I’m depressed enough.

This time from a listener who’s left comments at the 3AW homepage.

The Australian Government is selling off Australia and flooding the country with over 500,000 immigrants each year. Those here now will find their lifestyle changes from a happy country to a miserable overcrowded bottleneck everywhere because the government has not provided the infrastructure or services for such a massive migration. 500,000 people need water, food and somewhere to live. Australia suffers droughts so those people need infrastructure to provide lots more water in times of droughts. Only 4% of Australia is arable and suitable for food crops so you have to plan food supply well ahead of demand. You have to build more hospitals, schools, houses, shopping centres and provide services or cause mayhem in the presently overcrowded system. Also most people do not want confrontational immigrants whose religion is straight out of the Dark Ages and their religion demands that they kill us. So Government has to be more select in its choice of suitable immigrants because these people have set up enclaves that are NO GO even for Police, crime has gone through the roof and they harbour Terrorists. You are setting the stage for civil war in this country if you maintain this course.
Cowboy Thursday 19 August, 2010 – 10:47 PM

WOW.

Also there is the case of Denis Mulheron who is in NO WAY OFFENSIVE AT ALL. (LOL)
Sadly people actually support his weird ranting.

Good on you Dennis. Unfortunately, anyone who expresses a conservative opinion in this country (albeit clumsily and belligerently) is immediately branded a redneck, racist or homophobe.
It’s time the majority stood by our opinions in the face of the politically correct Sydney latte sippers…including these two announcers!
Greasy Pig Thursday 19 August, 2010 – 11:30 PM

Dear Ignorant Pig, these Sydney Latte sippers are from Melbourne. Where are you from? If the majority of people hold the same views as Denis then this is a sad place to live.

Oh come on, this is a perfect example of Political Correctness that has UP SET a lot of people, to the point they have to use offensive language. Aussies need the right to speak the truth, and if we can speak the truth then there would be No Need to use offensive language.
janet page Wednesday 11 August, 2010 – 12:50 PM

Yep, you’re correct. If it wasn’t for all this political correctness we’d all be able to use whatever racial or homophobic slurs we wanted to put those who are different into their rightful place! (BTW I am being sarcastic) I really find people such as Janet and Pig and Denis to be so annoying.

… some moronic woman protesting about refugees being given housing and wondering why the government isn’t giving housing to Aussies.

I WONDER WHY THIS IS GOING TO AIR THE NIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION.

Also they will interview Tony Abbott (Julia Gillard was interviewed tonight) Again…

I WONDER WHY THIS IS GOING TO AIR THE NIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION.

Surely it would be fairer if both Prime Ministerial candidates received 15 minutes on the same night to tell Australia why we should vote for them?

Worse still is the Herald Sun website where this morning I was greeted by a pop-up advertisement for the Liberal Party. I am really sick of the bias that the media is showing, whether it is Murdoch for the Liberals or Fairfax for Labor. I would rather a fair and balanced media (yes I know that Murdoch’s FOXnews uses that line and it is a joke) where instead of trying to sway my vote with THEIR opinion, they instead just present the facts about each candidate and let me make up my own mind. Believe it or not I am clever enough to do so.

I was trawling though the comments to Andrew Bolt’s blog as I find that it contains some comedy gold, when I came to this comment on the National Broadband Network that Gillard and Labor have proposed.

There is no need to a National Broadband network.

Then there is Doc Molloy’s comments

My simple point is, I mean, look today, it’s happening today,’’ she said. Joolya morphs into Joh in the Deep North with Pineapple Pin Head Swan, the dumb c@#t ( as KRudd staffers referred to him). Oh don’t you worry about that, sez Joolya, you just look here and don’t look back I try not to and so does Wayne here because we don’t like what we see.. Don’t you worry about that. There are billions more where those came from we just keep digging them out the ground and then we tax it.. all an illusion.. just keep moving forward nothing to see here, is there Wayne..
No, that’s correct, nothing, Joolya, all smoke and mirrors.. look over there..

Andrew and his moderators should really edit any obviously drunken comments made. especially ones that are so rambling and disrespectful.

I wonder if anyone else thought it was ironic tonight on 60 Minutes when Mark Latham talked about Julia Gillard using empty slogans? Wasn’t he Mr. Ease The Squeeze? Another hypocrite from the world of Australian politics.

I have been trawling thought the 3AW website and some of the opinions of their listeners and some of their presenters, is even worse than the Herald Sun’s. Of course when you think of hard-hitting political and current affairs you think of this guy…
Apparently John Michael (oooohhhhh aaaaaahhhhh) Howson is upset about Muslim women having their faces covered by burqas because… I don’t know. It can be found here. (Is John Michael Howson gay? I never knew.) I do find it weird when flamboyantly gay men are extreme right wingers and show the amount of intolerance and hatred that Howson does. I guess it’s OK for him to be different but nobody else is allowed to be.

Of course radio (and TV) presenters are supposed to show leadership and reasoning on issues (hahahahaha) rather than just leading the sheep in a bigoted chorus of rubbish. I always thought that to be in the media and to present opinions on matters like this you need some degree of intelligence and not just be some flamboyant guy who was a Hollywood gossip reporter twenty years ago.
As for Darren James… someone should just tell Hinch that all James does is agree with the bigoted opinions of Howson and not try to regulate the debate. From what I know the guy has no backbone to express his own opinion but just says “I agree John Michael” before mentioning some brand name that he may or may not be endorsing.

Anyway here are some of the people who commented on the burqa issue on the 3AW website. Be aware that these comments are the most nonsensical that I could find…

After reading some of the comments here I am alarmed at the level of ignorance by some who consider themselves so “tolerant” of Islam.
Take a look at some of the countries where Islam has managed to take hold and see just how much that country has changed. When they are in small numbers, they are meek and don’t demand too much. As soon as their numbers grow sufficiently they start to demand and change. They demand that we respect them even though they don’t respect us. They demand that we change our way of life to suit them. If they don’t like this country or any other country then they should not migrate there. Stick with what you love I say. If they want to mimic an Islamic country, then they should’ve stayed in an Islamic country. They only reason they come here is to conquer one way or another. Just take time to look at the countries where they have grown in sufficient numbers and all will be revealed.
Peggy Wednesday 23 June, 2010 – 7:09 PM

Yes Peggy, they are coming to get us. The real issue here is not us wanting to ban the freedom of choice that Muslim women have to wear a face covering, but the fact that they are going to force every woman in Australia to wear one. Bwahaha. I can just imagine Osama Bin Laden hatching his worldwide burkha plot now…

Well said John-Michael Howson!!!! It IS UnAustralian!!!
‘In my 40 years as a Muslim woman I have never felt so oppressed.’ Yeah well go live in Saudi Arania then you’ll really have something to whinge about and take that dill Hinch with you since he loves burqas so much!!!!
clown fan club Friday 21 May, 2010 – 10:00 AM

Sigh! I thought it was un-Australian to dictate to people what they can and cannot wear. I hear people say that Muslims want to come here because Australia is a free country, which in their opinion is good BUT… we should take away part of that freedom and tell them that they cannot cover their face if they want?
By the way, why all the fuss about Muslim women wearing burqas but no fuss over young men wearing hoodies.

i believe that if people choose to come to live in australia they also choose to fit in to our way of life.i visited malaysia an the people there were mainly muslem but they didnt get round in berqhs.so why is it such an issue here.if i as a woman was to travel to dubbi i would have to wear a head covering to be allowed in to there country to fit in to thier city so why carnt they show us the same respect.?
vanessa Tuesday 18 May, 2010 – 6:49 PM

Yeah if people live in Australia they should fit into our way of life… which includes being able to spell correctly too.

Neil Mitchell also had something to say on this issue more recently and again the uneducated and ill-informed were out in force…

Jake you are half right, ban the burqa only when need to,like when you come to AUSTRALIA!And we have every right to create this law if we want to.Dont like it? Stiff, move to where it is accepted because we dont want it now or EVER!!!!
Darrell Tuesday 20 July, 2010 – 10:03 AM

This = robust debate

I have the solution to all these problems with Muslims.Send them all back to wherever they came from and we would not be having all of these issues and debates. They can do whatever they like in their countries, but do not come to ours and expect us to change to suit them.Everything we do “offends” them.Why?.They freely chose to live in another country so respect their customs etc as you demand us to accept yours in our countries. They can’t accept that other cultures have different ideas and traditions and want to destroy them and inflict and force their ideas on us and get rid of the very way of life that allowed them to come here and live freely and practice their ideas.Imagine us going to one of their countries and trying to do what they do in western countries. How long until we were dead.I can see no reason why they are allowed to live here.
steve Thursday 15 July, 2010 – 4:35 PM

More robust debate. People who oppose common sense (ie-me) on this issue aren’t racist or rednecked… as Steve above proves.

Kazz you are living in the wrong country till you have the decency to pack up shaking off the sacred Australian soil off your boots as you get on the next return boat to Bulkastan.
MaryAnne Thursday 15 July, 2010 – 11:45 AM

Even more robust debate…

Prime Minister, this is a FREE democratic country and it will remain that way, regardless of any attempt of branch stacking in the NSW Labor movement, to elect selective Muslim candidates~! Your leftist Immigration Department & cretins like Pamela CURR can encourage Tamil Tigers to ‘lose’ their identity papers, but Christian Democracy will STILL prevail~! Sharia Law is NOT welcome in this country~! Unless you want a bloody civil war on our streets, don’t go there~! You were elected by a Christian Majority, not a Muslim minority~! Get with the program~!
Lenny Thursday 15 July, 2010 – 11:13 AM

This is a free and democratic country… unless you are a Muslim woman who wishes to wear a burqa…

ts a simple maths solution ban the burka+the hijib+the religion=PEACE
garry Wednesday 14 July, 2010 – 4:24 PM

Yes by banning Islam in Australia we will remain a peaceful country… just like Northern Ireland…

Australia has rules like any other country. People should abide by them and join in our Culture when they come here the same as we would have to do if we went to their counry. — It possibly could be one way of creating PEACE in the world

judiann Wednesday 14 July, 2010 – 1:36 PM

Where is the law against covering your face in public? I always thought part of the Aussie larrikin culture was that rules were only there to be broken. Guess this is something else that has disappeared from the Australian psyche recently, just like ‘no dobbing’.

Ban it.
If we approve the Burka we approve slavery and repression of women.
Try and wear what you want in a middle eastern country – good luck !!
Paul Wednesday 14 July, 2010 – 1:18 PM

But if we ban it we are telling women what they can and can’t wear, which means that we are repressing them even further…

Neil,
In espousing that Banning the Burka is a racist issue you are showing your mental deficiancy.
France is a true secular society whereas we are not, if we were, no taxpayer funding would be spent on the tax free church industry. In a secular society all people are treated equally, whereas there is no such equality in Australia
Rene Wednesday 14 July, 2010 – 1:03 PM

Huh!!! Australia is an independent country who should make up her own mind and not takes cues from others… especially France…

Ban the people and then there will be no more disgussions on the burqa, they are not to be trusted.
janet page Wednesday 14 July, 2010 – 11:36 AM

I can’t trust people who can’t spell discussion either.

When Neil was little bet his mother used to play the hide and seek scare game with him and used to wear that stuff, that’s why he is so fond of it. Struth!
Now he is even not much for school uniforms because the bulkas will not be allowed there. Further he will have difficulty sitting at the table with his Arab and Turkish friend at their restaurants. I am safe because I don’t even eat that stuff of theirs let alone having anything to do with them.
Ben Wednesday 14 July, 2010 – 11:19 AM

What’s a bulka? By the way, if you have nothing to do with Muslims then how the hell do you know what the hell you are talking about? This is what I mean about stupid people voicing their ignorant and stupid opinions. It’s amazing how ignorant the people who post at the new sights are and how the let their true feelings run free. I guess they do so because the are allowed to do it anonymously and that people won’t know in real life just what dumbarses they really are. The sad thing is that these people who can barely write will be voting on August 21st. Be afraid… very afraid.

In today’s Herald Sun Alan Howe once again wrote an alarmist piece on how Muslims are going to take over the world. Yawn! Of course Alan’s not racist, he has Muslim friends, although I wonder what they think of his weekly Islamaphobic rants.

Howe’s articles are becoming almost as predictable as those of Andrew Bolt. We all know that Bolt is going to talk about how the ‘warmists’ are going to take over the world with their extremist philosophies and how Kevin Rudd is the worst leader of any country that there has ever been. There is no such thing as global warming according to Bolt, as the world is actually cooling despite what the official records tell us. We also know that he is going to extol the virtues of ‘digging stuff up out of the ground’ and how all the Earth’s resources are there purely for us to exploit. (I wonder whether Bolt has shares in a mining company or perhaps some of his relatives work for Shell.) Up until two weeks ago he was sticking with his argument that oil spills don’t cause any environmental damage, but now he’s dropped that argument (I wonder why) and is going on about how President Obama is harming BP’s share price by blaming them for the events that are happening in the Gulf of Mexico. (Because we know that BP’s share price is much more valuable than the oil soaked animals in the Gulf.)

I could go one about other reasons why I never buy the Herald Sun and only read it if someone else has bought a copy. Even the once reliable sports section has become almost unreadable. I used to read the paper on the tram on the way to work but now I have resorted to reading books. (Shock!)

Alan Howe has written another couple of illuminating articles in today’s Herald Sun. Of course in these articles Alan did what he does best, in spreading Islamaphobia to the ignorant that make up part of the Herald Sun’s readership. Today he decided to pick on Yusuf Islam, aka Cat Stevens, because of comments that he made twenty-one years ago saying that Salman Rushdie should be killed for writing the Satanic Verses. Sigh! Perhaps someone should tell Alan that people can change their opinions after two decades, although I’m sure that back in the 80s and 90s Howe was writing nonsensical anti-Islamic drivel (just as I’m sure he will be still writing such crap in another 20 years time!).

The big problem that I have with Howe’s articles is that he often resorts to personal attacks instead of dissecting what they have said. This is just poor, lazy journalism and shows just what a hack Howe really is. Just look at some of the arguments he offered in today’s paper.

That didn’t work. Later he became Cat Stevens and issued a couple of over-produced minor hits – Matthew & Son and I Love My Dog. Others used his songs to much better effect: P. P. Arnold made her name with The First Cut Is The Deepest, while the Tremeloes made the top 10 with Here Comes My Baby.

Umm… I don’t get the point. Alan is writing an article about Cat’s comments about Rushdie but instead turns it into a comment about his music. Of course Alan is a paragon of musical taste as I can remember when he used to host a show on 3AW playing mouldy relics that would help ward off insomnia.

I hope he kept himself nice; a Muslim chap can pay quite a price, perhaps 40 lashes, for pre-marital sex (80, I suppose, if he weakened both times) or worse. Forget TB, Cat, this is getting serious. Mind you, your girlfriends could well have been stoned to death had they been in some Islamic countries.

Of course Howe isn’t anti-Muslim, as he has said in the past some of his best friends are Muslim. (Gotta love the fact that he defends himself by using such an old cliché!) Of course Alan doesn’t mention that Cat had all that pre-marital sex before his conversion to Islam, so those stupid sarcastic remarks that he made mean nothing.

Islam, a yet-to-mature religion whose popular face is too often that of scornful, black-hearted suicide bombers, has a long way to go.

WTF has this got to do with Yusuf’s ancient comments about Rushdie? I wonder what Howe’s Muslim friends (lol) think about this?

Cat Stevens could have used his conversion to Islam for so much good, and I suspect he is an ignorant, rather than bad man.

Pot/kettle/black.
While Howe tries very hard to make some sort of sense in his main article he is let down with his other two columns from the paper where for some reason he tells us that someone suggested that Cat record Sam Cook’s hit Another Saturday Night (because Cat Stevens is the only artist to ever cover someone elses song!) and worse still, he devoted 250 words to telling us that he sent a photo of Salman Rushdie and his son to Yusuf to… I dunno… I guess he just wants to let us know that he is stirring shit. Next he will tell us of how he has sent a photo of Smokin’ Joe Frazier to Muhammad Ali and a Celtics singlet signed by Larry Bird to Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Perhaps the readers of the Herald Sun can help Howe further in his Muslim baiting by making suggestions of what other Muslim celebrities he can harangue, although it would be quite pointless, much like Howe himself.
