This was from the Argus on October 5th 1936. Not sure who the artist was, but it looks like this was just an after thought anyway.
In 1937 Shilling summed up Collingwood’s Grand Final loss to Geelong much better. I’m not sure if Shilling did the 1936 cartoon.
The Argus only produced these cartoons around finals time it seems, in the mid-late 1930s, trying to copy the success of Wells in the Herald.
