Today at our Easter celebration my sister gave me a copy of The Great Dictator that she had downloaded acquired for me. Just last month I wrote of how I bought a Chinese copy of this film that froze at one section and did not work properly. I did send the faulty disc back in exchange for a copy of Hitchcock’s Rear Window.

Audi Truth In 24 – Free iTunes Download… But Not For Aussies!!!
Posted: April 12, 2009 in Internet, MotorsportTags: Audi, iTunes Australia, Truth In 24
A couple of weeks ago I was told that the excellent movie about Audi’s assault on the 2008 Le Mans 24 hours, Truth In 24, had been released free as a download on iTunes. This is great news only if you live in the United States as unfortunately the American iTunes store is the only one which carries this great documentary. I tried to download the movie but unfortunately Australian residents can only download stuff from the Australian iTunes store for some (stupid) reason, and the Australian iTunes store naturally enough does not have Truth In 24 available. Why is it that those of us who live in Australia always miss out on great stuff that is released overseas? It is not just iTunes that can be blamed for this as Australian DVD manufacturers also neglect to release any really good movies or shows for us. Why should we Aussies always have to put up with second best? Unfortunately there does not seem to be an email address for me to give iTunes a piece of my mind on this issue but there is an Apple support email address which I have sent an email to and that I hope may help. The address is http://www.apple.com/au/support/itunes/store/download/. I will let you know how things go with this!

I have not made any comments on the 2009 AFL football season yet, even though round three is already upon us. The reason for this is because I am a Collingwood supporter and I have learnt not to get too excited about the Magpies as they always find a way to disappoint me. Yes, I know that this sounds so pessimistic but I find that whenever I have high expectations of Collingwood they end up having a shocker of a season, whilst if I don’t have great expectations that end up doing well.
As for 2009, I do not think that they will win the premiership as I believe that Geelong will bounce back after last season’s shock defeat at the hands of Hawthorn, to dominate this year. I think Collingwood will scrape into the top eight and may reach as high as fifth at the end of season, but that’s it. I hope I’m wrong, but after the first three games of the season I don’t think so.
Thursday night’s match showed just how much better Geelong are, than Collingwood. With the exception of the first quarter Geelong was so much better, accurate and disciplined.
I probably don’t need to tell anyone that AOL is playing up yet again. The stupid browser is not working, which is not all that unusual, but not only that but it is running so slowly. It takes forever just to load a single page. Sure, I do bitch and moan and complain about AOL and I should really ditch them as they have caused so much trouble for me. I should also get into the modern age and upgrade to broadband so that I am not relying on ancient dial up. I promise that I will be getting broadband soon; I just need to get one that is affordable.
